American Airlines has ordered 24 more Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen regional jets. The options were originally acquired as part of American’s Bombardier order from December 2013. The new planes will be operated under the American Eagle brand.
Based on the list price for the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately $1.14 billion US.
In total Bombardier has secured firm orders for 1,858 CRJ Series aircraft, including 384 CRJ900 and CRJ900 NextGen aircraft.
