The aircraft carrier conducting important missions in the Arabian Gulf, supports troops in Afghanistan with its fleet consisting of Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowler (soon to be replaced by Boeing EA-18G Growler), Northrop Grumman E-2C Hawkeye, Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk and the Boeing F/A-18 Hornet/Super Hornet jet fighter.
