A total of 32 destinations in Europe are available direct from Dubai on the joint Qant as-Emirates network. This compares to 13 direct destinations from Singapore and 7 from Hong Kong with key competitors (including codeshare).

Qantas flights from Melbourne and Sydney to London via Dubai are about 30 mins shorter than via the pre 31 March network. These flights have 1 hr and 30 mins and 1 hr and 45 mins stopovers in Dubai respectively.

On the joint Qantas-Emirates network, fly to more than 30 destinations in Europe via Dubai with just a single stop (compared with five on the former Qantas network). Fewer stops reduces air fares by up to $100.

Cut total travel time from Australia to many parts of Europe by several hrs. Qantas no longer have to travel to London then backtrack to places like Madrid and Barcelona.

If flying with Qantas to Dubai, connect to the top 27 destinations in Europe on Emirates within 4 hrs.

Total travel time to the top 10 destinations in Europe is an average of 2 hrs and 15 mins less via Dubai (from SYD and MEL) compared to the former Qantas network via Asia.

Emirates network (as well as all of Qantas network). Combined total of
more than 175 destinations. Applies to entire points balance.

Earn Qantas & Emirates (Skywards) Frequent Flyer points on both Emirates and Qantas flights.

If you are eligible to access a Qantas lounge, you can also access Emirates lounges in in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and the UK and Europe when flying with Emirates.

Reciprocal status recognition for frequent flyers across both networks (e.g. priority check-in for Qantas Gold Frequent Flyers when flying Emirates).

Harmonised baggage policies, including an increase in Qantas’ Economy checked baggage allowance from 23kg to 30kg.

The Dubai hub provides connections to 65 one-stop destinations. Almost all connections to Europe and North Africa are available within 4 hrs of landing.
