  1. I was on this flight and want to understand the seriousness of this. Luckily, I did not realize the wing was damaged until we parked at the gate and saw the mainteance crew taking pictures and could visibly see the damage. However, I was extremely concerned after the major listing to the left on the first attempted approach and not knowing why we didn’t actually land. As we were circling around for an additional 15-20 minutes and could see JFK, Newark, and other various runways, I was wondering why we didn’t opt for a different location or quicker landing. I am a frequent flier and never experienced anything like this. I am very thankful everyone arrived safely, but still shaken up about the event.
