Video of the Day – F-18 Airshow Cockpit View
This awesome video that I found on Youtube features an F/A-18 during flight display. The cockpit video shows very nicely to what intense G-forces the pilots are exposed to during such challenging maneuvers.
The F/A-18 Hornet is a supersonic, all-weather carrier-capable multirole fighter jet, designed to dogfight and attack ground targets. It was introduction in 1983 and about 1,400 units have been built so far. The jet fighter can reach a maximum speed of Mach 1.8 (1,190 mph, 1,915 km/h) at 40,000 ft (12,190 m).
That is so cool. Can you imagine doing that for a living? The condensation buildup was impressive.
That just shows you the power of that F-18.
The only way that could have been better , would be for me to be the pilot.
Here’s another F-18 cockpit video! with an awesome soundtrack to go with it!

@Sarah, nice, one of my favorites! Love the soundtrack. Here is another good one http://bitly.com/I9A7kU (compilation of a few different US jets)
Seems like a Finnish Air Force F-18C at RIAT. Could be 2009 given the upload date, there were a few Finnish Hornets at Fairford then, seen both HN-440 and HN450 in the air at least.
The pilot seems to be a captain, not sure about the right sleeve patch.
Could very well be the same program that’s flown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIqpFlnS6OQ
